Collection: Gadwal Sico Sarees

Gadwal Silk Sarees are from Gadwal, a town in Telengana, India. These handwoven sarees typically take two people 8-10 days to complete a saree. The body, border and pallu are woven separately and then attached together. The body is silk cotton and the borders and pallu are silk with zari. The silk used is either tussar or mulberry whereas the zari used is either copper or gold dipped. The weavers make the sarees in such a way that they can be folded to the size of a matchbox.
