Collection: Gadwal Sarees

Gadwal Silk Sarees are from Gadwal, a small town in the state of Telengana in India. These sarees are handwoven and it typically takes two people 8-10 days to complete a saree. The body, border and pallu are woven separately and then attached together. The body is either cotton or silk and the borders and pallu are silk with zari. The silk used is either tussar or mulberry whereas the zari used is either copper or gold dipped. The weavers make the sarees in such a way that they can be folded to the size of a matchbox. Gadwal Silk Sarees are a good choice for festive occasions and parties.
